Our client is a major top tier civil contractor who has recently won a major civil infrastructure project which is based near Newcastle which will run up until 2012. They are seeking experienced Site Engineers and Project Engineers to join their project team.

In these roles you will be working a vast range of projects ranging from road and highways, bridges, cut and covers, intersections, on ramps & off ramps, services and earthworks where you will be a vital member of the project team.

To be considered, applicants will need to have previous experience assisting Project Managers with the delivery and management of similar civil projects with other civil contractors. You will additionally need to possess a Civil Degree and have between 2 to 5 years experience working within the construction industry.

In this role, you will be reporting to one of the Project Managers and be responsible for managing the project from site. So previous experience working as a Project Engineer or as a Site Engineer on other major infrastructure projects would be seen as advantageous especially if you have taken projects from start to completion. Previous experience working on RTA projects would be advantageous but is not essential.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have effective communication and the ability to drive a project to completion. You will also be required to have an eye for detail and be process driven when it comes to quality and safety on site.
