This top tier contractor is a household name in Australia. As a result of winning further major projects they are now looking for a Design Manager, possibly from an Architectural background, to join their successful team in Sydney.
You will be responsible for design development to budget at both tender and post contract stage, engagement and management of consultants, coordinating the information flow between the design and construction teams, initiating suitable changes to design to facilitate new user needs or improved cost or material performance.
You must have a extensive understanding of the fundamentals of design management. You will have a minimum 5yrs experience, degree qualification extremely desirable, extensive experience in cost control and tendering, knowledge in industry compliance and legislation requirements.The ideal candidate would be from an architectural background and have experience of working on individual projects of $30 million and upwards.
