This organisation are a leading Australian mining contractor, they manage a number of open cut
operations throughout the eastern seaboard.
The organisation currently has a vacancy for a Mine Planning Engineer for one of their NSW Coal
operations.
You
will be working with in the technical operations team reporting to the Senior
Mine Planning Engineer.
The
responsibilities include, but not limited to :-
- Identifying opportunities that create
value.
- Mine Design and scheduling.
- Planning of the drill and blast optimisation.
- Participating and providing advice on the operations review reports.
- Development of long term mine design and schedules for open cut operations.
- Determine pit limits and nameable reserves based on initial pit modeling.
- Assisting with special projects that arise within the planning and projects teams.
Experience
and Qualifications :
- Tertiary degree qualification in mine engineering or related
- Proficiency in Vulcan, XPAC or Surpac.
- Strong knowledge and skills in pit design.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Mine Planning Engineer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
