Matthew Tognetti

After graduating from University of Sydney in 1992, Matthew began his career as a Civil Engineer working for a variety of major construction companies, government departments and specialist contractors.

Matthew has worked in and around NSW and Victoria in various roles in industrial projects, construction, project management and building and has worked in the Sydney market for the past 14 years.

In 2002 Matthew set up his own consultancy providing recruiting services specifically to the industry.

Matthew and his team have successfully developed a large network of clients and industry personnel and draws on his wealth of first hand experiences and knowledge to bring people together. His focus is not just on matching skills with client needs but in finding the right dynamics between a company and a potential employee.

Apart from his managerial experiences, Matthew also draws on his practical experiences and networks formed when he worked as a qualified rigman and scaffolder in Newcastle after the1989 earthquakes.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science majoring in pure Mathematics and Physics

Strangest job or project worked on: crawling inside the fumigation pipeline system at the Port Kembla Grain Terminal with a mask, an airbrush, a torch and a lot of trust

Best job worked on: on top of the North western pylon of Sydney Harbour Bridge enjoying the best view in Sydney.
